Today, January 2, will be the last game that Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes will have to miss, due to a previous suspension. Spikes was suspended for using performance-enhancing drugs; something he did not deny. However, Spikes did say that the pills were not meant to be performance enhancers; they were a medication that he failed to have approved by the NFL. Although it has not been confirmed, there is a rumor that the pills were being used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder. The suspension was announced last month, on December 10, and it was scheduled to be lifted after the conclusion of the regular season. This meant that Spikes could return for the playoffs. After today, he will be eligible to play once again.
