Saturday and Sunday, March 12th and 13th saw the 21st annual Hebron Maple Festival. As usual, both days began with a pancake breakfast, and included activities such as demonstrations on making maple syrup, as well as an ice cream eating contest on Saturday.
Participating maple houses this year included Wenzel Sugar House, Woody Acres Sugar House, and others.
The festival is well-liked, because there are a variety of attractions each year; there were silent auctions, as well as an assortment of food choices, a craft fair, and woodworking demonstrations. Said the owner of Wenzel's Sugar House, his demonstration would "get the cabin fever cured." Another said that the Maple Festival "has a life of its own." Its continuous popularity, year after year, would lead one to think so.
