Democracy the Goal of Gadhafi Opponents

According to the Libyan rebel movement, if Gadhafi is ousted, a parlimentary democratic government will be set up in place of the current dictatorship. The vice chairman of the National Provisional Council, Abdel-Hafidh Ghoga, 51, stated this, as well as a promise to never use terrorism or violence against civilians to achieve ends. This could soon be a reality; Ghoga also said that due to international intervention, as well as improved rebel tactics, Gadhafi may be out of power in "a matter of days". In reality, it is highly likely that the only reason Benghazi has not been captured by Gadhafi's forces is because of the intervention provided by countries such as France, Britain, and the United States. -CBS News
