Today, from 9:30am till 12:30pm, students are volunteering for their community at a New Haven park cleaning up the trash and learning about how if effects the environment. Students, parents, and faculty from the Barnard Environmental Studies Magnet School are helping in the 2nd Annual West River Memorial Park clean up, and the students will also have to write a report about the information they learned. The Regional Water Authority, The Department of Parks Recreation and Trees and Precision Wash and Dry will help too by donating tools and food to all the helpers through out the day. With all kinds of gardening equipment they will surely make the park look its best.
