Deadly Confrontation Leads to Gun Fire

A small argument in a Stafford home became deadly Thursday morning. A group of people, all of whom knew each other, gathered at a Stafford house Wednesday night into Thursday morning when an argument took place.

According to Courant.com, at about 1 a.m., one man, Jason Devoid, 29, then pulled out a handgun during the dispute. Another man struggled for the gun, cutting Devoid on the forehead in the process, gained possession of the gun, and fired two shots into the ceiling to try to gain control of the fight.

Devoid fled the scene but was later caught by police at a friends house and arrested.

According to Courant.com, "Devoid was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, second-degree threatening, first-degree reckless endangerment, possession of stolen property and breach of peace, police said. He is in police custody on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court in Rockville Friday."
