A suicide bombing in Iraq has left 12 people dead and 24 others wounded. The bomber walked into a cultural center in the city of Ramadi wearing a vest strapped with explosives. Several people had gathered at the center to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Mohammed, officials from the Ramadi police stated. The deputy governor of the mostly Sunni-populated Anbar province, Hakmat Zaydan, was among those injured in the attack.
