Deer Gutted in Public

Just in time for Halloween, Lawrence Massey, 37 and of Berlin, CT, was arrested for supposedly gutting a deer in a parking lot in the area of Wesleyan University. The man found the deer to the side of Route 9 Southbound and brought it to his sons at 594 Main Street A to show them " how to field strip a deer after it had been killed." When police came over, an officer reported the smell of the dead deer and found Massey covered in blood, holding his knife. Without being ordered, Massey cleaned up the entrails, which he had placed on a tarp. Massey is to appear in court on November 11 and was charged with disorderly conduct.
