According to courant.com, the man from Meriden that was hit by a car and had fatal injuries has been recognized as Mark Albee, 48, as reported by police on Saturday. Albee was walking near 1147 Hanover Avenue, when he was hit by a car at 9:31 pm. The driver of the car was John Guirard, 43, of New Britain. Albee endured severe internal and head injuries and was then brought to the Midstate Medical Center. Albee was pronounced dead at the medical center, according to police.
