Shooting in Tuscon Kills Judge, Wounds Congresswoman

According to CNN:

On Saturday, January 8, a deadly shooting occurred outside a grocery store in Tuscon, AZ. Representative Gabrielle Giffords was hosting a constituent meeting near a grocery store when a gunman approached the crowd and fired multiple times. When the shooting stopped, 6 people were killed and 12 people were wounded. Among those killed in the attack were Chief Judge John Roll of the U.S. District Court of Arizona, and a 9-year-old girl whose identity has not been released. Police recovered a 9mm Glock handgun from the scene and several sources identified the alleged shooter as Jared Lee Loughner. U.S. Capitol Police said that Loughner is in custody. President Obama called the attack an "unspeakable tragedy", and Sen. John McCain said the gunman was "a wicked person who has no sense of justice or compassion." Rep. Giffords, who was gravely injured in the attack, is now recovering in the hospital.
