As of October 16th, students are banned from parking in the fire lanes or anywhere else on school grounds without administrative consent. If students are caught in a fire lane or somewhere not permitted by the administration on school property, they will get a ticket and fine from the town or state police. According to Mr. Don Wilson, Assistant Principal at RHAM High School,"If students get caught in a fire lane, the town police will give them a ticket and a fine, which will be between $23 to $25. If the state police catches a student, then they will get a ticket and a fine of $93." The school has begun the ticketing policy so they can have more control of the student parking lot. Hopefully, the students parking in the fire lanes or somewhere that isn't permitted on school property will learn to park in the appropriate spots before they get a fine.
