Accelerating America

On Thursday night, RHAM High School showed the film "Accelerating America." The film was about a special school in Providence, Rhode Island were kids can complete two years of school in 180 days. The school, named UCAP(Urban Collaborative Accelerated Program) accepts students that have repeated at least one grade. The film focuses on three students. They are America, Yazmine, and Jason. Their principal, Rob DeBlois, was determined to turn these children's lives around. Rob and the filmaker Tim Hotchner were present at the showing and answered questions at the end of the film.
