Despite Economy, Amazon.com Has Best Holiday Season Ever
According to Forbes.com, e-commerce giant Amazon.com has had its best holiday season to date, selling over 6.3 million items by the first half of December. Analysts attribute some of Amazon's success to the failure of retail stores. Despite the 8% drop in consumer spending this year, the second half of the month and post-Christmas sales are poised to raise Amazon's revenue even further.
