Woman Robs Plainfield Bank
According to courant.com, a woman robbed the Eastern Federal Bank on Lathrop Road. The woman walked into the bank at 11 am with a scarf around the face and handed the teller a note demanding cash. She left with an undetermined amount of cash, according to police. The woman was described as white, about 5 foot, 7 inches, a thin figure, and brown hair. When she robbed the bank, she was wearing dark pants, a tan jacket, and a green knit hat. After she left the bank, she walked across Lathrop Road to the McDonald's Plaza and got into a gray or silver Toyota Scion with out-of-state plates. The car plates might have been from Maine or New Hampshire, according to witnesses. The car was last seen going onto Route 12.
