Carolyn Brown was charged with second-degree battery after being accused of pouring a pot of scalding hot grits on her sleeping boyfriend. The sherrif's deputies of Boutte, Louisiana said the 44-year old woman burned the man's arms and face badly. Her boyfriend said he came home, they argued, he said that he was breaking up with her, and shortly after he went to bed. She allegedy fled the home and was apprehended on Paul Miller Rd. Brown was arrested Wednesday.
