According to CNN:
Recently, a submarine has discovered the memory unit from a crashed Air France plane at the bottom of the ocean. Back in 2009, Air France Flight 447 to Rio de Janeiro mysteriously crashed into the ocean, killing all 228 people on board. Investigators were baffled as to how the crash happened, but a remote controlled submarine managed to find the unit under the ocean. French investigators hope that this will shed light on how the crash occurred.
