Man Shot While Pheasant Hunting Has "Non-Life Threatening Injuries"

According to WFSB.com, a West Hartford man was shot while hunting for pheasants on October 17th, 2009 at 10:30 am in Canaan. The 35 year old man, Peter Paveglio, was walking across an open field with another pheasant hunter as bird shot was fired in his direction.

Paveglio was hit in the head, neck and face, but all his injuries were non-life threatening. The hunter that fired the bird shot was arrested and charged with negligent hunting. The 65 year old man, Alden Brooks, is scheduled to appear in court on November 2, 2009.
